Looking for the perfect tree...

One of the best memories I have as a kid is going to pick out our REAL Christmas tree. The air was crisp and smells of sweet pine. The negotiations are going strong with the stakes so high. Finding the perfect tree is something we always looked forward to. I really miss is looking for a Christmas tree. We have an artificial tree now as an adult, but maybe someday we will enjoy that adventure with our kids. Meet the Barre Family.

Karen and Chris lived next to the Oh Christmas Tree Farm in Langley, BC as newlyweds and started the tradition of getting a fresh Christmas tree every year. As they welcomed their children, Addison, Joshua and Nathan, into their lives, they had to move away from the farm. But every year, they make the trip back to select their annual family Christmas tree.

Karen explains, "The kids love running through the trees saying, “How bout this one?” We hum and haw ‘til we can all agree. We take turns carrying the saw and pulling the wagon. We love that it is the same every year."
