Winter Daze

Chilly temps are still upon us into the first few weeks of the new year. You can feel the crisp air in the lovely photos that were sent to us. Meet Megan.

I took a test at home and planned a big reveal for my husband, but then I got too excited and ended up calling him at work, haha. How did you tell the father? I called him while he was at work. Did you find out the gender of your baby? Yes! Another Sweet little girl for us Is there a name picked out yet? Yes, Harper Lauren Gish

How has pregnancy changed you as a woman? I feel stronger. I feel humbled. I feel a huge sense of purpose now, as a mom. What advice do you wish you had known before getting pregnant (even if it's something gross)? I guess I just wish someone would have told me that it’s ok to take the pressure out of parenting a baby. There’s so much pressure, externally and internally, to do this and do that no matter what, when at the end of the day, its your happiness and your calm that matters. Babies will pick up on stress, so I wish I would have just been a little softer with myself and allowed myself to take a path of less resistance and not focused on making all the perfect decisions. Oh, and no one told me how big your nipples get during pregnancy????

What is one thing you find beautiful about being pregnant?I always loved feeling the baby move. I also felt so strong, and so confident while pregnant. What would you tell someone who just found out they were pregnant? I would tell them the days are long but the years are short. It’s truly like seeing your heart outside of your body. What are your beauty must-haves while pregnant? Long showers and baths. Fresh hair, lip balm, and mascara always made me feel pretty

Can you share with our mommies where you purchased the items you wore for your maternity session? The dress is from Pink Blush Maternity. Leather jacket is from Target. Kind words about your photographer? Nothing but kind words for my photographer. Her creative vision for the entire concept was just amazing. I was HUMBLED to be a part of it. She is a true artist and it was so fun to work with her, even in the freezing cold.
